The Reef

Hi guys I watched The Reef last night and I have to say this is by far one of the best shark movies made since Jaws.  This movie is quite literally terrifying and to be honest is very realistic.  The director has used clips of real white sharks and I cant tell if there is any CGI used as the shark looks fantastic.

The film follows a group of travellers who embark on a cruise in Australia. Their boat hits the reef and they capsize  Then the horror begins, as soon as the boat capsizes there is a real scary feeling that someone or something is stalking these people.  The group have no means of calling for help so they then must decide whether to stay on the hull of the boat or swim for it.  Well most of them decide to swim for it, a decision they then immediately regret!!

From the moment they get in the water the terror just escalates.  Splashes in the distance, the glimpse of a dorsal fin!!!  The group soon realise they are being stalked by a Great White shark.  Basically this has to be your worst nightmare, stranded in open water and one by one being taken out by the ocean's top predator.  Well I will not say any more as I don't want to tell you everything about this excellent movie, but I would seriously recommend you either rent or buy this movie. It is a film that really shook me up so if you like a good horror then look no further than The Reef.
